Perudo (Liar's Dice) Job - 2024
This was my 2nd custom game job with a wonderful gentleman I met at the Pearl. He wanted a Custom Box that could hold 5 dice cups and 5 dice per cup. He wanted 2 names engraved on 2 of the cups, and the word "Perudo" engraved on the lid. He gave me great creative liberty with the design, so I added a magnet to the bottom of each cup and a magnet on the inner floor of the box so the cups didn't slide around in the box during transport. I CNC'd the 2 names on the square blanks of the cups, and then hand turned them on the lathe - I had to be careful not to carve away my engraving.
Woods Used: Cups (Texas Bodark); Box (Paduk, Black Walnut, Baltic Birch)
Customer Review
"The experience was amazing. Scott took into account every request I had while still maintaining the artistic freedom to create something amazing. The quality of the product was great, and the attention to detail went above what was expected. Scott truly has a serious talent, and we're very thankful for what he's given us!"

Rummikub Job - 2024
This was my first custom game job with a wonderful client I met at the Pearl. She wanted a Custom Box that could hold 4 tile racks, and 106 Rummikub Tiles. I CNC'd the designs on the tiles and painted them and also did personal designs on the box lid and tile racks.
Woods Used: Box (Zebrawood); Tiles (Black Walnut); Racks (Bloodwood)
Before the Toys Catalog
The gallery below shows a glimpse of some of the jobs for friends, family, and clients I have done over the past few years before I was doing The Happy Quacker full-time. Some of these are complete builds, some are repairs, and some are building legs and other components to add to existing projects. The quality of every project improves with experience, but part of being a creator with any medium is to get as much experience as you can and get better over time. Enjoy some of the wonderful and not so wonderful works of my past!
