The Woodworker

Howdy, my name is Scott Norman.

I'm a proud San Antonian and have been woodworking since I was 12 years old. I've been through the woodworking gauntlet from furniture and construction, to sculptures and wood turnings. I recently left my full-time job at a local Texas lumber mill for 7 years to pursue my passion for making original games and toys.

I hope you'll join me on this creative journey to help me bring you and your friends and family fun and memorable times together!

Historical Inspirations

I've been blessed to have family that have kept some records of my ancestors, and George Buchholtz, my great great great grandfather on my mother's side, is one of those ancestors. I of course, did not know the man, but reading of the daring of his immigration from Germany in the late 1800's with his wife and 3 children to New York, and then to Comal County, Texas - the skill and strength he had coming from a family of shipwrights in Brandenburg - and the discipline and intelligence he possessed to farm, open a lumber mill, and operate a mineral water factory that produced 4,800 bottles a day in Gonzales, TX in 1897 provide a deep source of drive and inspiration in me over 100 years later.
